Executive Headteacher and CEO of the Raleigh Learning Trust, John Dyson
The summer term 2017 marks the start of a new chapter for Woodlands.
Following an extensive period of preparation and development I am delighted to announce the launch of the Raleigh Learning Trust, a multi academy trust led by Westbury. The multi academy trust (MAT) will include Westbury Academy, Woodlands Academy, Denewood Academy and Unity Academy. The trust is set to expand further in the future and planning is already in place to secure that ambition.
At the heart of our future development will be a determination to secure and maintain a high quality education for all our pupils across the Raleigh Learning Trust. I will be working across all the academies alongside the Heads of Academy to ensure that excellence is at the heart of our offer to our pupils and their families and carers. We have been clear in all of our preparation to become The Raleigh Learning Trust that we are determined to provide the best possible service to our learners from across our communities in Nottingham City and to provide if called upon the same service to learners beyond the city boundary
All of our schools within the trust are full and this reflects the urgent demand that our Academies facilitate within the city. The need for even more placements across the Trust is evident and the work to expand the provision is now underway.
The academies within the Trust will continue to ensure the effective delivery of Education, Health and care Plans (EHCP) for our pupils. We will be working with a range of other professional partners to secure the best possible outcomes for our pupils in this task and each Academy will report on the support available to all learners who experience some aspects of special educational needs. The Trust will continue to focus upon the delivery of the Education, Health and Care Plans
