German Exchange Conference December 2019

Students and staff travelled to Duisburg, Germany to take part in the conference. The purpose of the Conference was to match schools to begin an Exchange programme. It was a great success and we now have a link with a school for the visually impaired in Germany.

Woodlands Academy has now developed a link with LVR Johanniterschule, in Duisburg. We will conduct joint activity projects in 2020 including ‘All about Me’ and an ‘Anglo German Cookbook’ involving many different classes. The focus of our project is to raise awareness of each others culture and national identity and to make new friends.

We are hoping to organise an exchange visit to Germany in May 2020, involving students in secondary school.

If you are interested in the project or would like your child to be considered for the trip to Germany please contact Mr Tyler, the International Coordinator.
